A free resume builder with no watermark and no trial
You can build as many resumes as you like and download every one as a PDF, with no watermark, no trial and no card. Here is exactly what is free, what isn't, and how to check any other builder before you spend an hour on it.
Free to download. No watermark, no trial, no card.

- AI writing help, up to a free allowance of 15 actions each month.
Why many "free" builders aren't
A common pattern among resume builders is to let you write your whole resume for free, then ask for payment at the download step. Often the payment is a short, low-cost trial that turns into a recurring subscription unless you cancel. Others let you download for free but add a watermark, or limit you to a plain text file.
There is nothing wrong with a paid product. The problem is finding out about the cost after you have done the work.
One example, from the company's own pricing page
We walked through Resume-Now's full flow on 22 October 2026 and read its pricing page. These are the terms it showed that day. Prices and plans change, so check their page for today's terms.
| Octrahire | Resume-Now | |
|---|---|---|
| Build a resume | Free | Free |
| Download a PDF | Free, unlimited | After choosing a paid plan |
| Paid access offered | None needed to download | 14 days for $1.45 or $1.85 |
| After the first period | Nothing renews | Renews at $23.85 every 4 weeks unless cancelled |
| Yearly option | Not applicable | $70.20 a year |
Resume-Now has things we don't, such as a large set of designed templates and DOCX download. If you prefer those and are happy with the subscription, it may suit you better.
How to check any builder before you start
- Look for a pricing page before you sign up, and read the small print under each plan for the words "renews", "billed every" and "auto".
- Search the site for "download". If downloading needs a plan, the help pages usually say so.
- Check the preview for a watermark or a "made with" line.
- Check what the free download is: a PDF, a Word file or plain text.
- If you do start a trial, note the end date and how to cancel, before you pay.
How we keep it free
The builder costs us very little to run: resumes are drawn in your browser, and PDFs are made there too. The part that costs us real money is AI, which is why it has a monthly allowance. Octrahire makes money from AI interviews for employers and universities, and from practice interview plans for students who want more than the free first interview. The builder is how many students first find us, and it stays free.

No. Your resume is private by default. Joining Octrahire's talent pool, where verified employers can find you, is a separate choice that starts switched off.
Not today. You can download a text-based PDF, which most application systems read well, and the LaTeX .tex file.
